Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of PetPal (the "App"), an iPhone application published by Evgenii Rozanov ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, in line with the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, resell or redistribute the App or any part of it, except where that restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

2. What the App does — and what it does not

The App analyses sounds, photos and the information you log to suggest a likely mood, note visible changes between photos and summarise your pet's week. These results are estimates produced by software, based on limited signals. They can be wrong.

• The App does not provide veterinary, medical, nutritional or behavioural advice.
• Nothing in the App should delay or replace a visit to a veterinarian.
• A "looks normal" result is not a confirmation that your pet is healthy.
• A "noticed change" result is not a diagnosis of any condition.

You remain solely responsible for decisions about your pet's care.

3. Your content

Photos, recordings, notes and any other content you create in the App remain yours. They are stored on your device and are not uploaded to us — see the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use any content you add, and for keeping your own backups; deleting the App deletes its data.

4. Free use and Premium subscription

The App can be used for free with limits on how many translations, photo checks and reports are available in a given period, and with one pet profile. An optional Premium subscription removes those limits and allows several pets.

• Subscriptions are offered as monthly and yearly plans. Prices are shown in the App in your local currency before you confirm.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in App Store → your account → Subscriptions, at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end.
• If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

5. Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its own policy. Requests can be made at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly, but if something went wrong on our side, write to support@erozanov.com and we will help you sort it out.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App to break the law, to interfere with its operation or security, or to attempt to access parts of it you were not granted access to.

7. Availability and changes

We may update, change or discontinue features of the App, including as required to stay compatible with new versions of iOS. We aim to keep the App working, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that any mood reading, photo comparison or report is accurate or complete.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of your use of the App — including any decision made, or not made, about your pet's health or care in reliance on it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Apple

These Terms are between you and us, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, has no obligation to provide support for it, and is not responsible for any claim relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or terminate the licence granted here if you materially breach these Terms.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The current version is always on this page with its "last updated" date. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the developer's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your own country of residence.
